Lady in Red

About a month ago I ordered a case of the Lady in Red - 14th edition, and it’s almost gone. This wine is the current weekday wine of choice at our house because it is so good and with the case sale plus shipping it comes out to right around $10 a bottle. The maker of this Washington red blend is Kestrel Vintners from the Yakima Valley. They change up the blend of the Lady in Red each year and the 14th edition is 58% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Syrah. The wine has a good amount of fruit flavor but isn’t at all sweet. It is pretty dry and tannic, and goes well on your dinner table with pretty much anything you have made or ordered.
